Whether it’s the last piece of the pie in the roommate’s fridge or the last glass of wine at a fancy dinner party, the person who paid gets the last of it. Unless they offer it to you, leave it alone. It’s not yours to consume, and it shouldn’t need to be said.

There’s nothing more annoying than looking forward to eating something and learning that it’s already been eaten. Save those around you the frustration, and eat what you know is yours. Doing anything else makes you like a buffoon, and you wouldn’t want that reputation. Would you? Of course not!
