#30: Universal gestures go a long way

Do you know why you see so many people waving in traffic? It’s because it’s a nice thing to do! Traffic can be stressful for all of us, but the kind among us looks to lighten everyone’s load. Whether it’s letting you merge or helping you know there’s a hazard ahead, the heroes of the road are always recognized with a wave.

If another driver has done something nice for you, put your hand in the air and wave it like you actually care. It makes them feel appreciated. You’ll feel good knowing that there’s kindness in the world, and you’ll perpetuate it by rewarding someone with a friendly wave. More traffic kindness will grow from there.
