#23: Twins Have Names
There are a lot of rules that come with having twins for friends. You might be aware of some of them, but double sets everywhere want you to know that their sibling has a name. It’s considered disrespectful to consistently refer to them as “your twin brother” or “your twin sister”. they are their own person, after all.
Twins spend lifetimes being compared and contrasted to one another, and the only thing they ask is to have their own identities. When you refuse to use a twin’s name, you are disrespecting an important part of their life. You are inadvertently not giving credit, or identity, where it is due.
