Eat, Pray, Ride Horses
Julia Roberts grew up riding horses. While filming a documentary, she moved to Mongolia, where she lived with a local tribe. The Mongolian tribe highly values their horses and spends large amounts of time riding them. During this time, she revitalized her deep-rooted relationship with horses. It inspired her to get her own stable; now, she owns a ranch in New Mexico and has many horses.
Julia enjoys barrel racing, competing in rodeos events, and spending weekends brushing the horses’ hair on the ranch. On the ‘Runaway Bride’ movie set, she rode her horse so well she even got a bouquet of laurels. If she would have to choose between her on-screen husband or riding horses, it’s a clear win for the horse.
