Leonardo DiCaprio Ninja Tortoise
Leo DiCaprio is not only a proficient actor but also an active environmentalist at heart. He has had his eyes on non-conventional animals’ wellbeing for some time. But his purchase of a $400 African spurred tortoise in 2010 got him some media attention that Leo refocused on the environmental issues that matter to him. He rescued the animal from the North American Reptile Breeders Conference and Trade Show in Anaheim, CA.
He got himself a seven-year-old 38-pound Sulcata tortoise. This species is said to live up to 200 years. DiCaprio is making sure to keep a best friend forever. This one will definitely outlive him and inherit everything. A piece of recent news came when Leonardo DiCaprio stopped to admire Henry – The Tortoise of Central Park during his walk. Leonardo likes tortoises and has commitment issues with owning only one.
