#9: Magneto / Erik Lehnsherr — X-Men
Magneto’s methods are extreme, violent, and often terrifying. But his worldview was forged in the Holocaust, where he learned exactly what happens when society marks a group as less than human. He does not trust governments, promises, tolerance, or polite speeches about coexistence. He has seen where that road can lead. Magneto is wrong because he repeats the logic of domination. He is understandable because he refuses to be helpless ever again.
