Weather changes
Once out at sea, they set to work catching as much fish as they could, collecting 500kg of fresh fish in their icebox. However, as they worked, the weather worsened. Before they knew it, a storm had hit. With no protection in their small fishing boat, the two men were extremely vulnerable.
With crashing spray and massive waves, experienced fisherman Alvarenga tried to steer through the storm while Cordoba desperately bailed water out of the boat. They had sailed 50 miles from the coast and he knew that he needed to find his way back again soon.
