Feeling destructive

He did still blame himself for Cordoba’s death, however. He would think over and over again why it wasn’t he who had died. He was angry at the situation, at God, and at the world and he had a lot of aggression to work out. Without anyone to talk to he decided to take it out on the boat itself.

Picking up a club that he had been using to kill turtles, birds, and fish, he attacked the boat’s motor.
