A Concrete Tank
One person came across this large concrete structure and found it to be a bit odd and out of place. As it turns out, there’s a simple explanation. The road nearby is actually being repaved, which means the ditches and any pre-existing water diversion systems that were in place were being interrupted. Clearly, this can pose a problem.

Thinking ahead, the city put in a stormwater retainer. Rather large, with what appears to be several ladders around it, it’s a highly functional device. If flash flooding were to occur or a large storm, the container will assist in diverting water to the proper locations, also serving as a place to hold the water.
