If we were walking down this hill, we’d definitely wonder what this pipe was and what it was used for. A better question is why is it located at the side of a hill. To be honest, it kind of looks out of place. Imagine if you were hiking and you saw a couple of these pipes – you’d probably wonder what they were.

Thanks to someone on the internet, we were able to find out the use of the pipe, and what was discovered was quite interesting. So, during the winter, in times of heavy snow, these pipes are used to cause an avalanche. This is to avoid large build-ups of snow, which may cause a much larger and unexpected avalanche.
