Old-Fashioned Shaving

Now, this one had people scratching their heads. When this person shared this photo online, some people believed this was an old-fashioned teacup, while others said this is a shaving mug. I suppose you can use it both ways, but traditionally, this antique china was used as a shaving mug.

While today men (and women) use electronic devices to shave, in the past they used soap, water and a shaving brush. You pour hot water inside the mug, you place the soap on the shelf with the holes, and you lather your brush on the soap and hot water. People were a lot classier back in the day, don’t you think? This looks pretty fancy.
