Enjoying a Good Bloom
A special find doesn’t necessarily have to be some spectacular and grand moment to be considered special. In fact, something as simple as the blooming of a spider lily can be considered special too. These plants, native to East Asia, eventually found their way to Japan, and then the United States.

Captain William Roberts introduced the first Spider lilies to the United States back in 1854, when he brought back three bulbs of the plant from Japan. These days, flowers are a common sight in many Southern US states.
