It’s a good trait to have, and if you handle yourself a certain way are more likely to draw it out of others. Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean one should leave room for naïveté as it makes it easy to take advantage of you.

Lying and manipulation is a terrible, terrible habit and is the best way to destroy people’s faith in the world and humanity. But take heart, there are good people out there as well and you can find them if you look in the right places. Just don’t be a fool about it.
