#4: The Vampire Diaries (2009-2017)
Sometimes, shows struggle because so many characters leave. That may be one of the reasons The Vampire Diaries should’ve ended a few seasons before it actually did. Throughout the show, several of the original characters departed in one way or another, which made for disjointed storytelling. When combined with writing that became less sensical by the series finale, this made for a show some fans wished had not lasted quite so long.
