#18: Homeland (2011-2020)
One of those shows with ratings that never dropped to an unacceptable level, Homeland probably could have kept going. Yet this spy thriller called it quits in season eight. Some fans felt let down by season eight because of out-of-character choices and poor plot devices. While you can’t make everyone happy all the time, you can’t keep a show going forever, either.
