Praise the Cameramen
Not only are the fishermen on Deadliest Catch in danger, but so is the camera crew. For Deadliest Catch, Discovery deploys teams of two men to stay on the ships with the crew for up to five weeks. During that time, the video crews must live alongside the fishing crews.
Others reality shows can take a break from the excitement, but the crew on Deadliest Catch has to stick it out. For half a year, these fishing crews spend a lot of time with the cast members, and tempers can flare on occasion. We’d hate to be on the receiving end of a fisherman’s tongue lashing.
