While the crew members of these fishing vessels may appear to be ordinary blue-collar workers, each voyage they successfully complete earns them a substantial sum of money.
Bill “Wild” Wichrowski has been crab fishing since the late 1970s and has worked as a naval engineer, boat electrician, and fisherman during that time. Wichrowski also worked as the skipper of the F/V Summer Bay, and his earnings from commercial crab fishing were estimated to be worth over $3 million.
