Nick McGlashan Passes Away
Nick McGlashan was on the Summer Bay ship crew for 78 episodes. His death shocked the rest of the team, his family, and the reality TV show’s fans. Nick, a seventh-generation Alaskan fisherman, began crabbing in the Bering Sea at the age of 13.
While he spent most of his time at sea, it wouldn’t be the treacherous waters that claimed his life. He was 33 years old when he was found dead in a Nashville hotel room. An overdose was established to be the cause of death after a lengthy examination. Captain Bill and Nick’s sister, Lydia, sent their sympathies.
