The Deadlier Deadliest Catch
While the fishermen on Deadliest Catch are at severe risk every time they set sail, there are more dangerous ways of crab fishing. According to How Stuff Works, the Discovery documentary shows crews fishing for red king and opilio crabs. Since 2000, the Dungeness crab fishery has claimed nearly twice as many deaths as the recorded history of the entire Bering Sea.
However, Discovery quickly realized their mistake and determined to bring us the most lethal of captures. It followed daring crew members as they fished for the hazardous Dungeness crab. The show was called Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove.
