Friends for Life (or Not)
You quickly discover who you can tolerate on a boat after sailing together for weeks at a time. That the fishermen from Deadliest Catch are locked on their boat together is awful enough. A month-long crab season provides plenty of time to get to know each other, as well as plenty of opportunity for squabbles and fistfights.
According to Captain Bill Wichrowski, getting to know the camera crew makes complete sense since they spend more time with them than they do with their actual families. He continued to say that he has become forever friends with some of the camera crew members, while others are on his enemies list.
