Sig Hansen’s Family Problems
Since his first appearance on the show, Sig Hansen has been one of the more popular crew members. Although the seasoned fisherman is a fan favorite, his daughter made some serious charges against him during his divorce and custody battle. Sig’s daughter claimed that he assaulted her in an intimate manner when she was a baby, but the allegations were dismissed by a judge.
The fisherman continued to explain that the claims were unfounded, blaming them on his ex-wife’s influence in his daughter’s relationship. Sig has also claimed that his former partner has attempted to extort money from him on many occasions, the most recent alleged effort occurring in 2016.
