The Real-Life Hero
Sig Hansen, a fan favorite on Deadliest Catch, made a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The sea captain informed the audience of the dangers he and his crew face, and the camera crew are just as in danger as everyone else. Sig said he was compelled into action to save a cameraman’s life.
The large crab pots are quite heavy, and one pot was heading straight toward a cameraman. The pot weighed 900 pounds, and the captain acted quickly to save the unknowing seconds before disaster struck. Thankfully, everyone made it out of the ordeal okay and intact.
