Out of the 20 most-watched TV broadcasts in American history, the Super Bowl holds nineteen spots. Not a bad effort for a single sporting event. The only other television event to make it onto the list (at number 11) is the series finale episode of M*A*S*H in 1983. Aside from that, nothing else comes close.
