Weird and Questionable Things That Happened to People Whilst Trick or Treating

You know those people who pour their souls out to you, even though you just met them in line at Target? That’s the vibe we’re getting from the neighbor in this story. Our storyteller was seven years old and excited to show off her Snow White costume on Halloween. When she approached her neighbor’s house, she got a lecture instead of candy. 

This neighbor felt compelled to give our seven-year-old storyteller a lecture on feminist theory and gendered stereotypes and expectations. Who knew that a stranger could feel so strongly about a cute princess costume? While this neighbor’s feelings may have been valid, trick-or-treating on their front stoop was neither the time nor the place for those feelings.
