#22: Pac-Man Fever
Pac-Man, a game that needs no introduction, hit arcades in 1980, and in 1981, a duo named Buckner & Garcia recorded Pac-Man Fever, an entire album of novelty songs about not only Pac-Man but other arcade games at the time. Other tracks include “Do the Donkey Kong” and “Ode to a Centipede.”

Think “Weird Al” Yankovic, but for arcade lovers. Fan-made music about video games is nothing special nowadays, but in the early ’80s, it was unheard of. Funny enough, there would be an actual game called Pac-Man Fever in 2002.
