#11: Puka Shell Necklaces
Puka (Hawaiian for “hole”) shell necklaces were the cool kids’ favorite accessory in the 2000s. As technology advanced, so did our desire for nature and the great outdoors. Puka shell necklaces looked cool on anyone, boys or girls, but they could get uncomfortable after a while, which is probably why this fad eventually disappeared into the sunset. You can still find photos on the web of celebrities like Justin Timberlake rocking those necklaces, though.
