Weird street lines
The OP was worried when they found mysterious lines on the road. Judging by the straightness of these lines, it was obvious that someone drew them intentionally. But for what nefarious purpose, the OP had no idea. Luckily, fellow internet users could provide some answers.
These lines were made of salt and laid down by a truck. This is one preventive measure that the government takes to prevent roads from becoming slippery during winter. As you can see, there’s not a single crystal of snow in this picture. Now that’s forward thinking!
