Past technology
In the past, we’ve seen some pretty clunky, awkward, and hilarious-looking pieces of technology. But nothing is as weird as this. People in the 1970s and 80s thought the future would be a lot more high-tech than it actually is. This is just one form of technology that past investors thought would catch on at the turn of the century.
This piece looks a lot like Google Glass. In 2001, MicroOptics came up with a piece of eyewear that probably served a purpose until it became lost in time. The look on the inventor’s smug face tells us that he thought this eyepiece would catch on over time.
