Being smart and deeply understanding the universe can change how you view life. Scientists and non-scientists have different perspectives on the world and how we live. When you have such a perspective, fictional movies, and novels might be funny in a way that most people watching the same movie wouldn’t comprehend.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is an accomplished member of the Space Society. His comment on watching Armageddon suggested he wanted to watch it and debunk its theories on the laws of physics and their non-existence in the movie. We’re not sure what he enjoys more: watching science fiction movies or demystifying the films’ realism. Lately, it seems like we need to be reminded that those movies are as far as they can be from reality.
