Once upon a time, a wicked witch was just a wicked witch, but it seems that today, every villain secretly has a good side to him. It doesn’t make it any less fun to hate them, but it is nice to be able to sympathize with the baddies every once in a while. Here are some of our favorite pop culture villains who may have been hiding a little hero inside (SPOILERS AHEAD).
#1: Severus Snape (Harry Potter)
Snape is really quite a tragic character. Rowling spent six books encouraging her readers to hate him and ruining his reputation, only to reveal in the seventh and last book that he was on our side all along. While we could adopt some admiration for him, it was hard to start actually liking him so late in the game.
