#14: Personalization Gone Wrong
Personalizing your service is one of the best ways to make customers feel welcome. Every smart business knows that when customers feel appreciated and valued, they return. Starbucks has taken advantage of this principle by allowing people to get their names written on their coffee cups. Or maybe that’s just a matter of convenience. Who knows?

Either way, Marc here was the unfortunate recipient of this barista’s mistake. Misspelling Marc as Mark is a pretty common mistake, but the barista has taken hers to a whole new level when this customer said his name was “Mark with a C.” Why would anyone be named Cark? That’s not even a name. It’s not uncommon for Starbucks baristas to get customers’ names wrong, but this is one of the funniest examples we’ve seen.
