#22: Stand the Right On
It’s an unspoken rule of social etiquette that when riding up or down an escalator, it’s common courtesy to stand on the right side and allow people room to climb past you. Just because it’s unspoken doesn’t mean you can’t have it in writing, though. The person behind this wanted to make it clear that people are expected to stand on the right, but they kind of messed up the message. No matter how you read this, it either says “Stand the right on” or “On right the stand.” We’re not sure which one is worse.
