I mean, who thought this was a good idea? This must be the worst and least elegant solution they could find. Normally, in such situations, you keep the sidewalk straight, even if it means there’s an electric pole in the middle of it and people need to walk around it—it’s still a better solution than this one.

Perhaps they thought crossing this sidewalk with a pole in the middle might be difficult for people carrying strollers, but if you ask us, this makes it even harder for people with strollers, wheelchairs, or anything else, not to mention nearly impossible.
