Curry moved into mainstream film in 1982 with John Huston’s big-budget musical Annie. He played Rooster Hannigan, the scheming brother of Miss Hannigan, the manager of Annie’s orphanage. Sharing the screen with Carol Burnett and Bernadette Peters, Curry brought plenty of charm and mischief to the role.
