Out of all the fast food places, McDonald’s has had a very consistent menu. You have your Big Mac, Chicken McNuggets, McFlurry; the list goes on. But it’s been around since the Stone Age. Some food items and services are no longer available, and even their old favorites are different! Let’s look at 25 foods and services McDonald’s no longer has or that it’s changed.
#1: McDLT (Mid-1980s-Early 1990s)
We all know about the Cola Wars of the ’80s, but the Burger Wars were also quite intense. To compete with Burger King’s Whopper, McDonald’s introduced the McDLT. It came in a two-compartment container, made from Styrofoam, of course. One contained the bottom bun and the burger, while the other contained the cool veggies, cheese, and top bun. But by the ‘90s, McDonald’s started to phase out their excessive Styrofoam packaging, and the McDLT wasn’t big enough of a hit for them to bring it back in another way.
