When you look back on the way many of us used to live, you begin to realize just how much our lives have changed in recent years. Take this image, for example; the very fact that young children are physically playing on the road while adults are present paints a completely different cultural reality.

Sure, everything about the culture was different back then; however, the fact that there weren’t many cars on the road changed how people related to it. It wasn’t that there weren’t dangers associated with playing next to the road; there was more mutual trust and responsibility in society back then—something which is sadly lacking today.
