Glass block windows looked like you were staring out of a spaceship, even though it was hard to see outside. Their cloudiness made them great for bathroom windows, basements, or other private rooms. They were also quite tough.

But they didn’t allow ventilation and were difficult to maintain. That’s why many use curtains instead or have no windows at all in the bathroom. Seriously, even if the window is cloudy, I still worry about Peeping Toms. Not that anyone would want to see me in my birthday suit!
