29 Things People Romanticize Even Though They’re Actually Really Wrong

I get the romanticizing of pirates. Exploring the seas, uncovering buried treasure, and not playing by the rules of society. But pirates can be ruthless and historically have done things I don’t want to write about here. Some media shows the dark side of pirates, but other media has pirate antiheroes, like Captain Jack Sparrow or Monkey D. Luffy. I’m not saying you can’t enjoy them, but I wouldn’t want to sail the seven seas with them.
