#4: Don’t Wake Furby
Introduced in 1998, the Furby is a stuffed toy that learns your language, is feedable and falls asleep when it’s dark. They’re cute, in that ugly kind of way, but we ’90s kids swore we were alive. For example, they’re supposed to go to sleep when it’s dark. But many kids experienced the Furby randomly shouting something in Furbish in the middle of the night. And some of us, while we drifted to sleep, swore the Furby was whispering to us. Were they really alive? Or did we read too many Goosebumps books? Probably both.
