#6: We’re Living in Dark Times
I didn’t realize that this was a Boomer thing, and boy, can I get behind it. I understand that there are all sorts of artistic concerns and that film and TV directors need to resort to all sorts of techniques to keep their projects interesting, but surely there are other ways to achieve that.

It seems that darkening the screen to the extent that it is difficult to discern what is happening is a mistake. I shouldn’t need to put the brightness on maximum to figure out whether the hero is happily playing chess or being eaten by a giant lizard. There are other ways to experiment with lighting.
