Oh, here we go. I’ve found it—proof that despite all the newfound points of commonality, I am very much not a Boomer and only a partial Boomer sympathizer. Under no circumstances will you find me picking up the telephone to make a call. In fact, you are unlikely to find me picking it up to answer one.

In 2024, almost everything can be dealt with through some version of digital communication. Not for nothing do we have e-mail, SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, and countless others—so that we no longer have to place the phone next to our ears and talk with someone on the other end.
