#20: They’re My Movies
I really identify with this sentiment—I always have. First, it was VHS cassettes, then DVDs, then Blu-rays, and now it’s just amorphous digital files sitting somewhere on some server or hard drive that I can’t lay my eyes on but that I still know definitely belong to me.

I can’t quite explain it, but having the “physical” thing (even if it’s not so physical these days) provides great security and comfort that you can’t gain from just streaming the movie once without bringing it into your position. It might be old-fashioned, but possession feels good.
