#3: Strawberry Fields Forever?
I have also observed this shameful change in the quality of our strawberries. Somebody really should have told whoever is responsible for strawberry production that size isn’t everything, but unfortunately, certain parts of our society haven’t yet internalized that message. If only slightly blander strawberries were the worst consequence of that.
I do have to mention, though, that whoever this complainant is may have made a slight mistake in pining for “an original strawberry.” I suppose they’ve never seen a wild, completely undomesticated strawberry—a small, sour berry about the size of my thumbnail. They can go back to eating those; I’ll stick with what we have today.
