#16: Venturing Off to the Unknown
There are certain kinds of people who are still willing to do this kind of thing today. In normal parts of society, we tend to refer to them as crazy (or eccentric if we’re being polite). I’m not sure that it was ever the norm, but maybe earlier societies just had a higher tolerance for craziness, or maybe they had less of a choice.
