When people think of the 1960s these days, they think of rock ‘n’ roll, flower power, civil rights and civil unrest, and free love. Sure, those all were a part of the ‘60s, but there were many aspects of the culture that have been largely forgotten about. From old restaurants to forgotten technology, here are 25 things that most people have forgotten about, but those who grew up in the decade sure remember!
#1: Radio on the Go
Before cellphones, iPods, and even Walkmans, this is how people listened to music on the go. If you had one of these radios that were the size of a pack of cigarettes, you were cool. Everyone would gather around and listen to the latest Beatles song.
Other kids may have had one or two of these under their pillows when their parents didn’t like that rock ‘n’ roll. When you took it out to listen to a song, you felt like a true rebel.
