#21: The Family Dinner
I hate to mention TV dinners twice in an article, but I really do think someone out there should be doing a study on the effect of their advent on the slow demise of the American family. When someone asks whatever happened to families eating together at the table – that’s exactly what happened.

Suppose it weren’t for families eating together. In that case, we’d be devoid of a whole lot of beautiful Hollywood stereotypes – the Dad arriving late from work and grumpy, fights about who should pass the salt, kids leaving breakfast after just a swig of orange juice and a slice of toast on the way out the door. What a wealth of images we’d be missing out on.
