Flames in Space
About two million-years-ago, humankind changed for the better. This is around the time scientists believe we discovered the power of the flame. Ever since we’ve perfected different ways to manipulate and control fire. We even play with it for fun and rely on it for cooking.
Have you ever thought about which direction fire might burn in space? The answer – every direction. You can blame this cool-looking phenomenon on space’s lack of gravity, which on earth, makes flames rise. In space, a fire burns in all the colors of the night, including blue. It is also cooler and dimmer. Cool!
