What DNA Looks Like
Here is what roughly two-to-three million human cells of DNA look like. This DNA in particular got extracted by taking a group of cells and breaking down the cell membrane and the nucleus. After this, the DNA can roam free.
We often think of DNA as something microscopic, but in this instance, it is not. After the extraction process, the proteins that hold DNA together – also got broken down, resulting in ‘free-floating DNA.’ This is all fancy talk for DNA that you can see with the naked eye. This is a fascinating look into something we’re all made of yet rarely get to see.
