At one point, Netflix was the king of streaming services. Over the years, many services have begun to compete with Netflix in terms of market share. Of course, you would not expect Netflix to allow that to happen without putting up a fight. If we learned something in the past few years, it is that Netflix always gets things their way.

The theory here is that Netflix has a unique way of garnering interest in its shows. Sharing memes related to their content fosters a sense of “fear of missing out” or FOMO among their fans. Once those fans see a few memes but fail to understand them, they will quickly start watching whatever show the meme is based on.
