#5 A Mold Problem Waiting to Happen
We have another image showing the floor of a kitchen, but this time, there’s not a tile in sight. Why is that? It’s because the floor is covered in carpet. That’s right, this person got wall-to-wall carpeting for their kitchen and didn’t think it was a bad idea.
To be fair, the carpet looks awesome, and we can imagine how the fibers tickle your soles as you scoot around barefoot. But when a single droplet of water falls into the carpet fibers, that’s an invitation for mold and other moisture-related problems. That’s why carpets don’t belong in kitchens and bathrooms!
